Christian discipleship doesn’t happen in a bubble. A disciple is part of a community. We are all a disciple of someone. Whose disciple are you, and what is the cost of being a disciple?


This week’s #WholeLifeTakeAways:

  • What memories do you have of playing follow the leader?
  • If you do Facebook, do prefer to be followed or to follow?
  • Who in your life have you wanted to be “like” to follow their model?
  • Why do we want to make being a disciple about more than just following Jesus?
  • How might levels of normal development confuse discipleship: 5-year-old-disciple and 95-year-old disciple? What are the similarities at every age and what might be some differences?
  • While there are roles and functions, what do you think about the statement, “You either are or aren’t a follower-disciple of Jesus?”
  • How do you think about taking up your cross (sacrifice) for Jesus? Do you think of things you can’t do anymore or do you think of loving enemies, hanging with your oppressor, and going the extra mile?
  • How do you feel about being an all-in, fully surrendered follower of Jesus? Who do you want to invite to follow you as you follow Jesus?
