Love At Work:  Boxing God by Ken Wetmore

We use boxes to contain and hold things. Idols are a form of a box. They are used to create limits for what they represent. God asks us not to worship idols because false idols lead us away from God, and even idols that represent God lead us to place limits on who God is.


This week our #WholeLifeReflections asked:

  • What are some ways that you put God in a box?
  • Is your understanding of who God is different today than it was 10 years ago? How? If it's not different, do you feel like your relationship is growing?
  • What are you doing to make sure that you aren't putting God in a box/creating idols?
