Gathered At The Table

Gathered At The Table

Any time change takes place, there is a natural, and sometimes personal, resistance to it. What does it mean to celebrate Communion together during COVID? Though we aren't physically in the same place, it's important to remind ourselves of the extravagant grace of our Savior. So gather some type of bread or cracker, and some type of beverage, and join us!

This week’s #WholeLifeTakeAways:

  • What is your best memory of celebrating the Lord’s Supper? What is your worst memory of celebrating the Lord’s Supper?

  • Why do you think some people avoid the service?

  • How integral is the concept of being a servant to communion?

  • Jesus that night, prays for his followers to be one. How important is Christian unity, and why is it so incredibly hard to come by?

  • How can a determination to serve rather than be served support unity in Christ’s body, the church?

  • What causes you or someone you know from participating in the communion service for fear of doing so “unworthily”?

  • In context how does 1 Corinthians 11 portray “unworthily”??

  • What do you think about being in unity with all of Jesus’ followers on these three points: Jesus is the Savior, He calls us to love, ther is a glorious future?

  • With whom have you come into division that communion might enable you to move back into unity?

  • What is your best memory of celebrating the Lord’s Supper? What is your worst memory of celebrating the Lord’s Supper?
